STARSkate Testing (Assessment Days)

 

The STARSkate program is a testing system consisting of 4 disciplines: FreeSkate, Ice Dance, Skating Skills, Artistic. For an overview of all available tests: Skate Canada Tests Star 1-Gold.pdf

 

The coaches will inform the skaters when they are ready to take their next skating test. We do testing through the Fall/Winter (3-4 times), Spring, and Summer.

Low Test days: STAR 1-5 (all tests) and STAR 1-10/gold (skills) will receive a test permission sheet. Testing done by coach.

High Test days: a verbal confirmation will be given and then a final email with a schedule a few days prior to the test day date.  Testing done by assessor.

 

To complete a payment for test fees. 

Low Test days: CASH only which is MUST be handed in with the test permission sheet to coach Tammy at the arena prior to the test. 

High Test days: CASH only handed in at check-in on the test day.

All coaching invoices MUST be paid in full, before the skater is able to take the test!

 

The skater will receive their completed evaluation sheets immediately after taking the tests.  They will be entered into Skate Canada but it is important to keep your copy filed for future reference (if needed).
